Net Gen 6

In this project it is going to be very important that we stay connected to each other and make sure we know what each other is doing so we can stay connected in the same topics.  When you work in a group it is important that you know that each other is doing so we don’t repeat thoughts and so that we flow together.  In this specific project we are going to need to connect to each other so that we can get to know each other and also so we can finish the group project that we have been working on.  Staying connected can help because if one of my group members finds a website that everyone can use than they can send it to us; this is a type of connecting.  When I am working on a blog they can use my blog and start a conversation.  If I find a website and I think it has a lot of information than I can show my classmate by posting it to my Diigo wall. By staying connected to the internet we are all connected to each other and we can be more of a group and work better than only connecting through our teacher.

Diigo can be use do talk to people from around the world or in your own town.  It can also be used to tag a website.  Some people can use Diigo to also write notes on a website that they see as useful to the group they are working in. This can be used on any device. Why is this? Diigo can be accessed from any device that has internet.  With internet you can also tag pages you like and post them into your Diigo website.  You can also use Diigo to highlight single words or paragraphs.  With the high lighting tool you can so your classmates or coworker what exactly what you want them to look at.  With screen shot you can show them the whole page and see exactly what you are looking at.  To make notes all you have to do is put a pin on your screen shot or on the link.  The pins can be commented on by others who have access to the edited viewing of the screen shot or link.  On Diigo you can see all of the websites that you save and/or have access to whether you are working with a group from school or a business.

My group is the Internet of things with customization.  I think customization is important to today’s day and age because many people have either phones or computers or even tablets.  On phones you can change the background to photos or colors of your choice.  On computers you can also change the background but you can also edit things online such as facebook.  On a computer you can be on the internet and edit a photo or video.  You can add videos that you took on your phone and downloaded to your computer.  Something new to us today is a new toy that is bigger than a phone but smaller than a computer.  This new technology is called a tablet.  On tablets you can not only change the backgrounds of everything but you can also access the internet and do as you will.  On tablets you can buy applications in an app market that help you work on the internet, play games, or write a paper.  This will someday be the only thing people need; the tablet is a portable computer and it will one day have a calling capability that will render cell phones useless to the future.  Cell phones will be a thing in the past along with no portable computers.

Net Gen 3

I think that it was a cool idea that they did the experiment with all of the students in a gray room staring at a blank chalkboard.  I think that it was also cool that they all had different signs held up.  It would be cool to do something like that to show what our, as a generation, personality.  I don't think its right though that rich schools   got more money than school that really needed it. Rich schools would use the grant money for stupid things. Poor schools would use the money to help the students learn more and make their school experience better in the long run. They would be able to buy books and other things that would be easy for them to use. If the poor school got the same money as the rich schools than they would not be a poor school.  For towns to make the decision that rich people and rich school deserve more money just because they are they are in a better economic place is just wrong.  When our society realizes that if they even out all of the school with money status and we look at more about who does better in school and not who looks better, the economic society will be a lot better.

This speech that I did about people not wanting to volunteer was somewhat good. I did stutter a little bit at the beginning but by the end i was talking more clear.  Next time I need to work on not pacing back and forth.  I was also frigidity with the pointer that I had in my hand.
Next time I will also work on the power point more so I can use the power point for more of an assistance and less of me reading straight from the slide.  I should tell more about the statistics about my story.  I think it was good also that I gave a real life story.  I am going to choose next time to write about something that I actually want to talk about instead of writing about something that I do not believe in.
I also moved around a little to much for what little time I was given. I think that next time I also need to make sure I focus on what time talking about the whole time and not pause and think of what I am going to say next in my speech.

Net Gen 1

I agree with what he is saying because we are the technology generation.  My parents, I’m sure, are not the only parents who ask their daughters or sons for help on while on the computer.  Now some of us know more about computers, phones, etc.  than others so we can help better.  If you asked any student/child from the generation about something that has to do with technology then they would be able to most likely help you with your need.  I also agree because in this day and age we use technology for everything.  Whether it is for school, social networking, work, or pretty much anything you can think of . One time I was helping my dad make a website for his business and he had so many questions.  Then every time he had a question or he wanted to change something he asked me for help!  After a while I just got use to helping him on his computer.  He then got a new computer for work and I also had to teach him how to send emails.  Good thing the computer didn’t need anything downloaded!  My point being is that when he needed help he just came to ask me!

speech one

In my speeches I need to work on staying calm and talking without stuttering.  My main problem is that I get nervous in front of people while I talk about things that I don't know much about.
